Aurora Plinth · Photorealism Study, Lillie Thompson & Bek Sheppard
Still Life Study from Photographer Lillie, and stylist Bek Sheppard
A simple life of mine. I was reading a poetry book from 1945 which I picked from a old bookstore. As the poetry grew into an inspiration, I retreated into light, texture, and restraint. Studying Lillie and Bek’s work taught me that true elegance doesn’t shout it invites you closer. I spent hours adjusting the way light kissed the pink glass flute, how the marble’s veins caught the glow, how the bouclé held shadows like velvet secrets.
This render became my sanctuary. A place I could return to when I needed to remember that beauty lives in the quiet details.
Here is the original photo.
“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting.” — e.e. cummings
